Jared Felix and Benjamin Quartey goals assisted the U19s’ second victory over Frickley Athletic in eight days, with a 2-1 win on Wednesday.
A disallowed Frickley goal in the final minutes saw Farsley earn three points in the league after progressing in the league cup last week.
Harvey Kelly entered the starting line-up to tip round the post to maintain Farsley’s 2-1 lead, Shawnee Eddy, Wilfred Frimpong and Ollie Clarkson also returning to the 11.
Felix’s opener within 7 minutes marked Farsley’s continuation of everything positive from last week.
Felix intercepted on the edge of the Frickley box, knocked the ball onto his right before shooting across his body into the bottom left corner.
Wilfred Frimpong was the main beneficiary of Farsley’s dominance of possession for the second week running.
After Felix had already been denied once, Frimpong beat his man on the right touchline, running to goal at a tight angle. Felix was the best option on the edge of the box and the captain allowed the ball onto his left foot but his shot was denied by the keeper parrying the ball away.
Benjamin Quartey’s goal was even quicker after the break than Felix’s from kick-off – just four minutes after the whistle.
The right full-back raced into the box before placing into the bottom left corner.
Frickley squared the ball left into a free man inside the box shortly after but as the forward was loading his shot, Quartey’s pace was again on show, sliding in to dispossess the ball.
Quartey again going forward, the defender was forced into being substituted with a suspected concussion. Having shielded the ball out for a home throw, a frustrated Frickley defender dragged Quartey to the ground, the defender landing awkwardly. Eloi Nyom was his replacement.
Frickley then benefitted with a goal of their own from a Farsley misplaced pass during their possession strategy.
The visitors intercepted possession in the middle of Farsley’s half and a through ball inside the left of box was finished into the bottom near corner.
Frimpong, now on the left, was now making the opposite full-back chase him. The winger knocked the ball inside, away from several defenders, to the edge of the box before shooting straight at the ‘keeper.
A counter directly after saw Frickley create space for a shot from 25-yards out which needed tipping round the far left post by Kelly.
As Farsley recovered possession in the next few minutes, Felix was again denied from inside the box before the ball escaped the crowd to Flavio Tomas on the edge of the box, his shot from 20-yards tipped over the bar.
Kelly was forced off due to injury and replaced by Westcarr who saved the result twice for the U19s.
Firstly on 81 minutes, the ‘keeper closed the Frickley forward who had reached a bouncing ball first and shot at goal but Westcarr was too big, throwing his body to block the effort.
Secondly a few minutes later he tipped wide from a shot inside the penalty spot, conceding a corner.
The corner landed in a crowd on the penalty spot and was put into the net but the offside flag denied Frickley of a point.
