Yorkshire Amateur have signed former trialist Sam Babayale ahead of their trip to Nostell Miners Welfare this afternoon.

Babayale, 21, a left-sided or central defender, has registered in time to be involved in the away squad at The Welfare Ground for today’s 3pm kick-off.

The defender’s latest appearance for The Ammers came in the final pre-season friendly draw at Harrogate Railway, a 2-2 finish but the new signing was unavailable for the opening day fixture.

Harrogate’s Station View stadium hosted Babayale’s career before exiting in 2022. Earlier clubs include Tunbridge Wells FC, currently playing in the Southern Counties East Footbal League, step 5 of the NLP, as well as Tonbridge Angels.

“How the management want to play and set up suits my game perfectly,” stated Babayale.

“I can’t wait to get the season going & get games under my belt”.

The Welfare Ground, WF4 1LB, hosts this afternoon’s fixture which may deliver Babayale’s Ammers debut.
