The U19s overcame a 1-0 early deficit and a red card to leave Hemsworth Miners’ Fitzwilliam Stadium will all three points earlier today.
Louis Fialdini and Jared Felix turned the match around in the first half before a 44th minute equaliser.
Fialdini’s second and matchwinner found the top right corner from outside the box just after the hour to make it three wins in the U19s’ previous three matches.
The forward was denied from beside the right of the six-yard box on 10 minutes after Felix’s placed shot from the edge of the box was parried.
Farsley’s front three were controlling possession by typically not giving any of the Hemsworth back line any time on the ball and forcing long passes too powerful for the host forwards to meet them.
But Hemsworth did open the scoring, albeit from a set-piece.
After a foul on 19 minutes to the left of centre, 20-yards out, a left-footed curled effort went round the wall, was failed to be dealt with, and finished in the far bottom corner.
Benjamin Quartey continued to benefit from Farsley’s possession, overlapping Flavio Tomas on 28 minutes before receiving the ball off the winger and crossing inches too far ahead of Felix arriving at the back post.
Fialdini’s equaliser involved Felix around the box once again on 31 minutes.
Felix passed to his right attempting to find Fialdini who appeared to be brought down on the edge of the box but the forward was the first up to the ball to shoot hard inside the near post.
Hemsworth response tested Westcarr a minute later. The hosts worked the ball into the right of the box but the sizable Westcarr frame once again denied at his near post.
Felix followed with a goal of his own, repaid for his earlier assist as Fialdini was the creator this time.
Fialdini, having won the race down the right to the touchline, turned into the box before passing the ball central to Felix just inside the area. His first-time effort was placed past the ‘keeper to give Farsley the lead with just three minutes of the first-half remaining.
But another equaliser came.
Hemsworth’s cross from the right was met at the back post, the initial shot saved by Westcarr at his near post but the follow-up, again to the same area, beat the ‘keeper.
There was no denying Farsley retaking the lead, however, as Fialdini found the top right corner from outside the box, giving the ‘keeper no chance.
Receiving the ball in midfield, Fialdini ran with it to the edge of the box, ignored shouts from Felix to his left, instead lacing a shot which continued to rise till it met the netting of the top right corner.
Hemsworth made it a nervy ending, firstly on 75 minutes. A first time touch passed the ball through the Farsley defence into the box. The forward took one touch before powering up a shot only to be intercepted just in time by the covering Shawnee Eddy. The forward had a second chance at goal with only the ‘keeper to beat but Westcarr wasn’t breaking his habit throughout the match of denying at his near post.
Secondly, a ball forward through the Farsley defence on 81 minutes, into the box was received by a Hemsworth forward who rounded the outrushing Westcarr diving at the forward’s feet. Forced wide, the forward squared the ball central but converted centre-half Harry Emery covered and cleared for a throw.
The U19s’s three-match winning streak was confirmed with tireless defending for the final ten minutes, from the forwards through to the defence – all pressing until the final whistle as they were in the first minute.
