Jake Bayram will miss the U23s visit to i2i Orange on Thursday, and an expected further 2 and a half weeks.
The defender, therefore, is also expected unavailable for 3 further matches – Hemsworth Minors Welfare, i2i Sky Blue and i2i Sky Orange.
Bayram was stretchered off with an ankle injury in the 4-2 victory over AFC Emley last Monday, 5th April.
The injury occurred in the 88th minute after Bayram’s challenge on an advancing forward inside Farsley’s box, having only been substituted on, 20 minutes earlier.
After consultation at Hospital and with swelling present, Bayram revealed doctors confirmed there is bruising underneath the skin, which is causing pain.
To return within the 4-week timescale provided by doctors at the time of the injury, Bayram is currently rehabilitating with light exercises before he is ready to begin light jogging.
Asa Mitchell gave Farsley the lead while they could have been further ahead by this point but Sandile Masuku eventually doubled the lead moments before the half-time whistle.
Emley scored a reply on 55 minutes before Louis Fialdini restored the 2-goal advantage 10 minutes later.
Emley’s 82nd minute goal made it a tense ending to the match but substitute Ayrton Stewart-Savory took full advantage of an Emley defensive error, finishing one-on-one and finishing the game.
The U23s follow up this victory when visiting i2i Soccer Academy Orange, on Thursday.
