THREE U16S EARN TRIAL

Shawnee Eddy, Yonas Melake and Kieron Murthoo-Williams, from the u16s have all earned trials with professional teams.

Full-backs Eddy & Melake join Sheffield United today while winger Murthoo-Williams remains with Bradford City.

Both defenders played in the U16s defeat last Saturday with Melake almost scoring after running beyond Gainsborough’s defence but he couldn’t quite get control of Carney’s pass from the half-way line.

Moussa Sidibe, 18, remains with Barnsley U23s having been called-up from the Tykes’ U18s.

The winger was spotted by the U23s manager while training with the U18s at the same training site and told to move up age groups.

The Academy’s next match is the U23s following up their 4-2 victory last week, visiting i2i Soccer Academy Orange, on Thursday.

The U16s play next Saturday, 17th April in their second JPL North East & Yorkshire U16 Whites Cup game, away at Scarborough Athletic.

Farsley Celtic wish all four trialists the best of luck in their trials.
