Yorkshire Amateur’s new joint-managers Casey O’Reilly & Jake Boyd have added the signings of Asa Mitchell, Daniel Leafe and Jonny Daniel ahead of the Ammers’ visit from Knaresborough Town on Saturday afternoon in the NCEL Premier.
Mitchell, 21, joins from Campion and returns to playing following a hamstring injury. He reconnects with former team-mate Jake Boyd from when both played in the same Farsley Celtic u23s side, from which Mitchell went onto appear for Farsley Celtic’s first-team. Mitchell’s other former clubs include; Thackley and Glossop North End. He can play as either a striker or attacking midfielder.
Leafe, 34, signs from Hunslet, a player who can play at both the left or centre of defence as well as midfield. He too reaffirms his working relationship with manager Boyd having played together within the same Whitkirk Wanderers team.
The trio could make their Ammers debuts in the NCEL Premier division match at The Southerns Stadium this afternoon, kick-off at 3pm.
