Yorkshire Amateur AFC Chairman Will Bowler acknowledges the support the club has received throughout his initial time in his position, the North-Leeds club having been taken over 18-months ago.
“As we have reached the half-way stage of the 23/24 season, I would like to personally thank, initially, all the coaching staff, players & management team for their continued support,” began Bowler.
“Also, all the people behind the scenes that ensure the day to day running of the club keeps ticking over off the pitch.
“Including the fans, whom some of which have remained loyal despite our previous difficulties on the pitch. And also some that are new, which can certainly be heard and felt assisting to make an impact on matchdays.
“It has been a difficult 18-months but things both on and off the pitch have massively improved. Hopefully we have now turned a corner, demonstrated by improving results on the pitch.
“I reiterate my thanks to all the players as at the moment, we have no playing budget to pay players and have done well this season to compete against other clubs. Credit to those players who continue to commit to Yorkshire Amateur week in week out. Player recruitment has been good, in support of performances, and I thank the management team for that.
“Everyone is playing their part both on and off the pitch to ensure Yorkshire Amateur can be the best it can be.
“I extend my thanks to Lutel James as when we were asked to take over this project, it was a massive task but together with support from others, we have kept chipping away and have got to where we are today. It’s been hard work but worth it.
“The structure of the football club is in a far better place than it was 18-months ago.
Thanks to each and everyone of you.
Will Bowler, Chairman of Yorkshire Amateur AFC.
